About Us

Saltine is a home for positive and inspiring stories from Salt Spring Island. We are creators who wanted to learn more about our community, while celebrating the unique qualities of this island. Our aim is to shine a light on innovative ideas from local entrepreneurs, food producers, artisans, and beyond. We hope that by sharing these stories, readers will be inspired to become a steward of the environment, support their communities, or perhaps even find the courage to create something new.

We acknowledge the ancestral, unceded territories of the W̱SÁNEĆ, Quw’utsun, Penelakut, Halalt, Stz’uminus, Lyackson, Snuneymuxw and Hwlitsum First Nations.
